In case you missed it, I'm Kaleigh Hicks your South Denver, true to color, natural light photographer!
I won't bore you with the long details of how I got into photography as a business but long story short I've always loved taking photos, took some classes in high school and made it a hobby after high school. Then once I got married I used some wedding money to buy a Canon Rebel as my starter camera. I started out shooting anything and everything but have really come to love boudoir, maternity and high school seniors. I believe the biggest reason I love these sessions is working "usually" one on one with clients, it creates a more intimate/solid relationship between us to truly capture your essence and authenticity! I love and am pulled towards documenting the big changes these types of sessions resemble to people.
I value honesty and authenticity in my business and my personal life. I love working with people who are bold, sassy and unapologetic-ally themselves. I value friendship and care towards one another. Basically don't be a rude human. Most importantly, I love capturing moments before they are gone. Life flies by in the blink of an eye, don't waste a moment to document it.
A little background on me: I'm originally from California. Don't worry, I'm not a recent transplant, my family and I moved here before it was cool to move here.
I'm an Army & LEO wife and a dog mom to two of the most handsome but crazy boys ever! I'm sassy, loud and have vocabulary/mind that would make your grandma blush. Your vibe attracts your tribe as they say. While I live in CO, I much prefer the beach and sand dunes. I would rather be tanning, swimming, bbq-ing year round and riding ATVs than being in the snow. You will come to learn that summer is my favorite season. I'm a weird combo. I love aztec/native american, boho, and farmhouse style decor too. I know.. I told you, WEIRD! Actually, in a perfect world, I would have a custom studio boho style with an aztec/native american style office area and then my house would be a farmhouse decor outside the city. I love the sliding barn doors inside, distressed wooden furniture, cow skulls, trough style kitchen island, etc. Ahhh... a girl can dream... But mark my words, that will one day be my life. So if any of these things about me interest or sound like you, you are a part of my tribe and we are gonna be great friends!
My husband Kevin and I have been married for 5 years! We enjoy hanging out with family/friends, walking the dogs, tattoos, ATVs, shooting guns, and traveling around the world. So far we have only gone out of the country once, to Jamaica! It was beautiful and I can't wait to go back.
